چکیده

Here L t , P t , and At are the number of feeding larvae. pupae, and non-feeding larvae, and adults. respectively, at time t; the unit of time is taken to be the feeding larval maturation period so that after one unit of time, a larva either dies or survives and pupates. This unit of time is also the time spent as a non-feeding larva, pupa and callow (young adult). b is a positive constant describing the number of eggs laid per adult per unit of time. System (1.1)-(1.3) models a class of flour beetles of the genus Tribolium that are cannibalistic (Park et al. 1965). For these flour beetles, adults may feed on eggs, larvae. pupae and callows, while larvae may eat eggs, pupae, and callows. Neither larvae nor adults eat mature adults and larvae do not feed on larvae. In the above model. the cannibalism of larvae and callows by adults and of pupae and callows by larvae is assumed negligible since it typically occurs at much reduced rates. The constants J.11 and J.1a are the larval and adult probability of

The effect of periodic habitat fluctuations on a nonlinear insect population model

Laboratory data show that populations of flour beetles (1ribolium), when grown in a periodically fluctuating volume of flour, can exhibit significant increases in numbers above those attained when grown in a constant volume (of the same average). To analyze and explain this phenomenon a discrete stagestructured model of 1ribolium dynamics with periodic environmental forcing is introduced and st...

On the Dynamic of a Nonautonomous

Nonlinear difference equations of higher order are important in applications; such equations appear naturally as discrete analogues of differential and delay differential equations which model various diverse phenomena in biology, ecology, economics, physics and engineering. The study of dynamical properties of such equations is of great importance in many areas. The autonomous difference equat...

Absolute and Delay-Dependent Stability of Equations with a Distributed Delay: a Bridge from Nonlinear Differential to Difference Equations

We study delay-independent stability in nonlinear models with a distributed delay which have a positive equilibrium. Such models frequently occur in population dynamics and other applications. In particular, we construct a relevant difference equation such that its stability implies stability of the equation with a distributed delay and a finite memory. This result is, generally speaking, incor...

Periodic solution for a delay nonlinear population equation with feedback control and periodic external source

In this paper, sufficient conditions are investigated for the existence of periodic (not necessarily positive) solutions for nonlinear several time delay population system with feedback control. Nonlinear system affected by an periodic external source is studied. Existence of a control variable provides  the extension of  some previous results obtained in other studies. We give a illustrative e...

Global Stability of a Partial Differential Equation with Distributed Delay due to Cellular Replication

In this paper, we investigate a nonlinear partial differential equation, arising from a model of cellular proliferation. This model describes the production of blood cells in the bone marrow. It is represented by a partial differential equation with a retardation of the maturation variable and a distributed temporal delay. Our aim is to prove that the behaviour of primitive cells influences the...
